Volz place in Eldorado County. It is run by 3 men who accompany the outfit plus 1 or 2 men furnished by the land owner. The charge for the machine and the 3 men is $18.00 per thousand to the farmer. Mr. Volz was having a number of rather large logs sawed into the tree props for the orchard and framing lumber. The logs had been left by a logger who cut timber on his place 2 years ago.
