Photograph shows Patrick Burns Sr., whose 7-year-old namesake was killed when an automobile driven by Jack A. Risley, struck him at the intersection of Ninth and Valencia streets, dragging him 159 feet. Mr. Burns, who is pictured identifying his little son at the inquest, collapsed along with his wife, as details of their sorrow were told. Photograph dated November 14, 1947.
