2018-0715.
In 1916, the Taisei Maru (bark) made one of its training voyages to Pacific Coast. Arrived in Los Angeles in July 1916 under command of Captain M. Kanno. Carried students from Imperial Training School for Commercial Captains. From Los Angeles went on to San Diego, Hawaii, then home to Yokohama.
