Photograph (close-up) of an iron-bound wooden covered book at Mission Santa Clara, ca.1908. The wooden cover has four identical metal pieces on each corner. There are several studs and a metal starburst-shaped stud in the middle of each piece. Two hinges (at the left) hold the wooden cover to the rest of the book. There is no writing on the cover of the book.
