Description: The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 11, 1969 states: "The Elkhorn Bridge across the Sacramento River is now carrying traffic. Interstate 5 is under construction beyond the interchange and stretches straight as a string into the haze toward Woodland. Engineers for the State Division of Highways say this portion will be connected to Woodland and completed by mid 1970."
