Description
Pictured at 1895's California State Fair is a dining room exhibit from John Breuner's Furniture Company. The mid-1890s was a time of expositions and fairs, nationwide. In 1895, Sacramento hosted not only the State Fair but the ""Electric Carnival"", celebrating the transmission of electricity from the Folsom Powerhouse to ""Station A, "" at the corner of 6th and ""H"" Streets. Sacramento's premiere entrepreneurs outdid each other in showcasing their many wares and manufactured items in any number of fair and festival exhibits.
