Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on October 7, 1969 states: "Officials of the Truckee-Donner Historical Society check the rearrangement of stones after the ancient Martis Indians stones were moved to the Truckee River Regional Park from the Stampede Valley where the circle would have faced inundation in the Stampede Dam reservoir. The move was completed Sunday with help of many volunteers."
