Photograph caption dated December 16, 1959 reads "Residents at Nazareth House line up at Sepulveda and Magnolia boulevards to await transportation to Paul Miller circus playing in Sylmar Square. Boys were guests of circus and were treated to candied apples and soda pop. In addition to usual circus acts they saw elephant that appeared on Ed Sullivan's show. Accompanying boys was Jim Irving, engineer at Jet Propulsion Lab, and volunteer youth worker."
