The McKinley Home for Boys was located at 13840 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks, formerly Van Nuys.
Photograph caption dated September 1, 1950 reads, "Pepper, mascot at McKinley Home for Boys in Van Nuys--a Community Chest-supported agency--gets attention from Valley Area chest chairmen. Left to right are Mrs. Shirley Meyers, Sherman Oaks; Mrs. Raymond Jensch, Sepulveda; Ben O'Brien, Pacoima, and Mrs. Florence Mendenhall, area vice chairmen. Other newly appointed chairmen are Mrs. C. R. Naylor, Encino, and Kenneth G. Lynch, Pacoima."
