Description
Two women are modelling Parisian fashions for 1829. The woman on the left wears a white bonnet with pink flowers with green leaves decorating the bonnet. Two half pink, half white ribbons hang down from either side of the bonnet. She wears gold, teardrop earrings. Her dress is pink with short, pink, puffed sleeves under sheer, leg-of-mutton sleeves. At her wrists she wears gold bracelets with ovals on top. She wears white gloves and holds a white handkerchief in her hand. The skirt of her dress is pink with white leaf and flower designs around the mid point of the skirt. Pink, zigzag ribbon cuts through the middle of the flower pattern. She wears a pair of gray ballet slippers with white stockings underneath. The woman on the right sits with her back towards with viewer. She wears a white bonnet decorated with sprigs of pink flowers with green leaves. White ribbon wraps around the back of the bonnet and hangs down either side, framing her face. The bodice and sleeves are the same as the other woman's but they are white. She sits on a wooden chair with an ornately carved backrest and a yellow seat cushion.
