Photograph. "Religious Christmas scene on downtown building -- One of the most unusual and impressive Christmas decorations in Los Angeles has been placed on The Superior Oil Company building at 6th and Flower Streets. -- The three-story-high scene depicts a huge stained glass window of the madonna and child, in brilliant color. Ten choir boys, eight-feet tall, surround the window. At night, the scene is illuminated and Christmas music is played on the sidewalk below. -- The scene was designed by artist Anthony Heinsbergen." -- typed press release attached to verso, dated 23 December 1958.
