The sports field shown here, known as Snyder Field, was demolished in 2003.
Photograph caption reads, "A crowd numbering an estimated 10,000 Armenians pack into the football stadium of LA City College to remember the 73rd anniversary of the Genocide. Later, a small group of young men with Armenian flags, burn a Turkish flag in protest." Photograph dated April 24, 1988.
