Description
This June 21, 1938, photograph captures the Florida Inn Motel, located at 6150 Auburn Blvd. Owned by Henry and Ann Coldani, the Florida was a classic roadhouse, offering its signature half-fried chicken, some of the best parties and live entertainment in Sacramento County and, as evidenced by this photograph, their rooms started at $1.50. It even had a car repair garage. Ann was a California native and Henry emigrated from Italy at the age of 14.
