Description
2007-0438. Aerial view map of San Francisco published for Philo Jacoby's California State Almanac. The designer took an 1868 map of San Francisco and overlaid changes such as new buildings. The sailing ships in the bay are from the 1868 map. An inset of San Francisco on fire is in the upper left corner. Advertising for Sobree Bros dry goods is above the map, below are six ads for various companies. One ad is on the back of the map which was originally folded to 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 in.
