Designed by John and Donald Parkinson and built in 1929, the department store and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument was acquired by the Southwestern Law School in the mid-1990s. Photograph caption dated December 14, 1982 reads, "Bullock's Wilshire takes on Christmas season quite beautifully: with lights reflecting off polished marble and display cases brimming with goods, it is unmistakably a holiday and architectural environment."
