Description
Miss Janet Rees and pupils. Siaokan [later Xiaogan] c.1906 - c.1908. Janet Rees (1894 - ?) was the daughter of a missionary, born in Peking. She worked as governess and tutor to the children of leading Chinese political figures, working for the lMS only between 1906 and 1909. In 1911 she married the LMS missionary Rev R Kenneth Evans, and returned with him to China in 1911.
