The brick building that was located 5332 and 5330 Lankershim Boulevard was contructed in 1927 and housed Fitzpatrick Hardware and the North Hollywood Hotel early on. The Florence Dress Shop started operating in the building around 1936. Other businesses that occupied the storefront included Field's Sportswear and Lingerie Shop, Schmidt Fine China and Giftware, Feather Flowers, and Corinne Reed Originals. The building was demolished in 1994 after sustaining damage in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.
