Description
"The Driver & Hunt Building, owned by attorneys Philip F. Driver and Thomas M. Hunt, has been completed at 1220 H Street. Containing more than 10,000 square feet of floor area, the two story structure and the land it occupies represent an investment of $270,000. The building, which contains space for seven offices, is occupied by the law firm of Driver, Driver & Hunt, the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, architect Benedict Adams and the K&M Employment Agency. Two hand-carved stone lions, dating back to the 1870s, are in the landscaped area in front of the building. They formerly were in the yard of the old Ruthstaller home, which once occupied the site on which the office building was rercted"
