Knights Opera House Knights Opera House was purchased by Harvey West and Henry Peterson in 1921. They moved it board by board to Capitola and reconstructed the Opera House on California Avenue. Although the facade remained faithful to its original Italianate style, the inside was anything but an opera house. After serving a multitude of uses ranging from automobile storage to a pottery factory, it was finally torn down in 1961. Across the street is a boarding house. Source of information
