Description
A panoramic photo of passengers standing in front of the Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods train. Photographs like this one were souveneirs for the passengers. A box on the lower right of the photograph reads, "Entering the double bow-not, half way to the summit of Mt. Tamalapis, California above the Golden Gate on the 'crookedest railroad in the world'." The engine is number 4. Handwritten on engine: "Train #2 Aug 29 -18-" and "T.C.W.Co. 251 Post S.F." Handwritten just below engine: "Un. Joints - Sliding x. 3 cil - 275 H. P. Oil Burner."
