A pile of rough-cut wood fills the wagon as well as piled behind the wagon. A merchandise & dry goods store is directly behind the wagon. To the right, partially hidden by trees is the Montreal Saloon run by French Canadian Lazare Pare. In the far right background is seen the spire of the Occidental Methodist Episcopal (Community) Church.
