Photograph caption dated August 8, 1955 reads, "Ninety-two fire stations, their equipment and personnel throughout Los Angeles County are being inspected. The crew of Engine No. 74 in Kagel Canyon is shown above. From left are assistant chief Roland Percey; assistant chief W.H. Weyant; battalion chief Orlo Pederson; firemen Harold and George Hull; engineer Paul Adams; captain E.D. Skelley; deputy chief J.D. Duncan and chief engineer K.E. Klinger. Los Angeles County has second largest fire fighting organization west of Chicago."
