Description: Taken in the late 1940s, this photograph reveals part of the 16,000-square-foot interior of Grebitus and Company Jewelers, located at 1108 J St. The store was founded in 1926 by Edwin A. Grebitus, the son of a skilled blacksmith who moved his family from New York City to Sacramento in 1900.
