Description
Held at Fell and Baker Streets, San Francisco. Large group of men, women and children with bicycles, along with a couple of motorized bicycle cars. Two men with cameras on tripods can be seen on the far left. A woman in the right center is wearing a "Dutch" costume, holding a flag advertising Dutch Brand Rubber Cements. In the center is a sign advertising the event: "National Bicycle Day Round-up Sunday, April 9th. Run starts 1:00 pm. Fell & Baker Sts. Everybody Welcome. Come. Exciting Races at Stadium. Golden Gate Park. Events Open to All. Valuable Prizes. Admission Free. In the left front are several older men with penny farthings, holding several signs reading, "The Only Self Starter," "Veteran 1878," and "Always Start on the High." Buena Vista Park is in the left background; the former Southern Pacific Hospital is in the right center background.
