Description: Image of a two-story brick building storefront with people standing in the entrance to McKinnie's Pharmacy located on 3rd Street in Santa Monica, California. With a sign for "Mac's Favorite" on the sidewalk and the signs "Drug Store" and "Furnished Rooms" on the window.
"No. 7 Ma[?]"--text, handwritten on recto. "on 3rd, c. 1890" and "Lindsey"--text, handwritten in pencil on verso. Title devised by cataloger; date transcribed from note on verso. Fred C. McKinnie opened the first drug store in Santa Monica in 1884 (see "Writes History of Pharmacy for Paper," Santa Monica Outlook, June 22, 1923, page 8).
