Description
Republican mural, Rockmount St., St James, West Belfast. Mural commemorates 90th anniversary of the execution of James Connolly, a leader of the 1916 Revolution; portrait of Connolly against Liberty Hall in Dublin with the banner, 'We serve neither King nor Kaiser But Ireland' (flown from the building at the beginning of World War One). Quote from Connolly: 'The cause of Labour is the cause of Ireland, The cause of Ireland is the cause of Labour'; mural comissioned by Sinn Féin Trades Union Department.
