Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated October 3, 1950 reads "New Valley private remedial school at 8800 Lankershim Blvd. which opened Sept. 18. The new school, offering grades from one to sixth, is air-conditioned, with large steel-fenced grounds, and has every modern convenience for full instruction in elementary subjects. The new school will be held in 'open house' all day Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7 and 8, for parents desiring information, or who might wish to enroll their children. Necessary remedial teaching is offered at no extra charge over the regular tuition fee."
