A long-time Claremont resident, Jane Sanders and her husband, Edward, moved to Claremont in 1942 where he served as the Dean of Students at Pomona College. Mrs. Sanders discusses a variety of topics relating to the history of Claremont including the early Claremont Colleges, the Pitzer College President's House on Harvard Avenue, the role of the church in the early community, the Intercultural Council Housing, and the Mexican-American population and Bracero program in the area.
