Photograph article dated October 9, 1962 partially reads, "Sleet and snow don't bother Canoga Park's postmen, but lawn sprinklers, garden hoses and snapping dogs occasionally strain their patience. To minimize wear-and-tear on postal employes [sic], the department conducts a special 'accident-free' campaign for one week four times each year. According to Postmaster Dan Lucey, Canoga Park faces special difficulties 'because of the heavy traffic and the high volume of mail.'"
