Two houses separated by a row of trees, belonging to house on the left; house on far right is 2 storey with basement; stairs lead up to entrance with covered porch; on 2nd floor cover of porch becomes a balcony; tall windows on each floor; on right side of house a bay window structure protrudes from the side with tall windows on each floor; a chimney stands up from the roof; sidewalk in front and lamp post on corner.
Also have negative: no. 23,129.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"Corner home was the home of R. Wittenbrock, erected in 1885. '1808' J street, home of same family in 1875."
