Description
Photograph caption dated January 23, 1957 reads, "Little Billy claims his first dog - Billy Arnone, 2 1/2, of 7842 Claybeck Ave., Sun Valley, gives his new dog 'Fritzi' an introductory hello pat shortly after they became friends at the Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys. At first, Billy was shy, but he soon recovered after 'Fritzi' nudged him, anxiously waiting to see his new home. Big job for poundmen is finding homes for man's best friend."; See images #00131625 through #00131627, and #00131636 through #00131640 for all photos in this series.
