Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated December 16, 1953 partially reads, "For at least one Valley resident Christmas arrived early this year--and instead of one, there were more than 70 Santa Clauses. Ralph Miller, who lost a leg several months ago, due to a blood clot...received a check for an undisclosed amount of money presented to him by his fellow members of Lathers Local 42A. With hammers and nails flying, the group of men sailed into a structure at 12928 Burbank Blvd. last week end and set some kind of a record by completely lathing a four-unit apartment and a four-car garage, inside and out, in three hours. The money they usually would have been paid for the job was sent instead to Miller." Ralph Miller, shown at left with crutches, is pictured with members of Lathers Local 42A.
