Description: This April 26, 1943, letter from the Sacramento Civilian Defense Council to Block Plan members, announces Mrs. Fred J. Klaus as the incoming Chief of the Sacramento Block Plan Organization. Block plan volunteers were citizens dedicated to providing support programs to assist in the World War II domestic war effort. This document comes from the Mary A. Ribzinski subgroup in the Sally Zentner Family Papers, MC49. Ribzinski was a block plan leader during World War Two and a nurse at the Mercy Hospital X-Ray Department.
