Description
Attributed to Henry Rust Mighels. 2007-0146. Mining camp in Butte County; shows buildings in foreground, Feather River and hill behind. Various photographic reprints of an oil painting of Bidwell's Bar. Views 1-2 copied by Wm. Lugg from original painting. View 3 taken by M.E. Phares in 1921 while original in possession of donor. View 4 is photostatic copy. In 2007, Palmer Photographic made photographic copies of original oil painting for preservation. Project created four color 8x10 in. photograpic prints; four black & white 8x10 in. photographic prints. Also have negatives: no. 293 (5x7 in.); no. 28,649 (8x10 in.) color transparency. Also have negatives from Palmer project: no. 28,649 (4x5 in.) consisting of four b/w, four color, and four color transparencies.
