Description
Two women are depicted in a parlor. The woman on the left wears a light blue bonnet with white feathers and a matching blue ribbon. Her dress is olive green with a plain collar, long sleeves, a three tiered skirt, and five large buttons down the front of the bodice. She holds a multicolored shawl that is blue, yellow, and red edged with fringe. The woman on the right wears a bonnet, dress, and mantelet while holding a handkerchief in her right hand. Her bonnet is green with green and pink ribbon. Her dress is brown and covered by a blue-violet mantelet with ruffled edges. The parlor contains a carved side table with a tall vase of pink flowers, drapes, and a gold upholstered arm chair.
