Photograph caption dated August 30, 1988 reads, "'I wanted to let them experience the joy of life,' says Wings founder Lee Stanley, left, sailing with 'throwaway kids' John Sperling, Jay Baker and Russell Lawrence. His efforts to rehabilitate street kids are the topic of tomorrow's KTLA show, 'Desperate Passage.'" Stanley, Sperling, Baker and Lawrence are all aboard the ketch 'Minots Light' at sea off of Ventura.
