Hollywood Bowl's "Valley Night" promoted the "Buses to Bowl" program, where Valley residents were transported to the Bowl on buses organized by Valley Committee members, Mrs. A. Rayborn Phillips Jr. and John J. Scully.
Photograph caption dated July 12, 1961 reads, "Boarding one of the three "Buses to Bowl" are Valley Debs of Assistance League, from left, Linda Chapin, Encino; Laurel Nuss, Encino, and Cathy Sieling, Studio City, who stop to chat with Mrs. George Bennett, Deb's volunteer mother."
