"Ipyana. Das Flussufer des Kibila flussaufwärts gesehen." ("Ipyana. The river banks of Kiwira [River] facing upstream."). View of an African man to the left and five Africans in a dug-out canoe at the edge of the water. Two others watching from the bank of the river. Rich vegetation growing on both sides. A tree on the right side.
One photo included from the box of duplicates. -- The name of the river was spelled "Kibila", "Kibira" and "Kiwira". Today the name of the stream is Kiwira. It is situated in Tanzania near the southern border to Malawi.
