Description
Bertha May Reep (1913-2000) was born in Alpaugh, California and moved with her family to East Mendocino in 1917. She married her high school classmate Earl Mason (1912-1984) in 1939. For many years they lived in Mendocino's famed Blair House of "Murder She Wrote" fame. Bertha worked for many years as secretary at Mendocino High School, while Earl worked as a fireman for the California Division of Forestry. Their son Glenn became a museum curator and book dealer.
