Description
Note translation: It is difficult to know where this photograph was taken. And it is important to notice the symbols the man carries/wears: (a) some kind of fly-whisk over his shoulder (b) A staff with leaves (c) bracelet and anklet (d) clothing made of skins. (PV 02.2002). - The enlargement possible on the web-site allows us to see that the man's legs are wrapped in fabric with a checky pattern, and that the skin around his body is a sort of tunic, supported by strings around his neck. (PJ 03.2002). Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission, Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
