Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated July 9, 1963 reads, "Vanessa and Valerie Peterson, 5, shown here with TV actor Malcolm Atterbury, have epilepsy. Their mother, Mrs. Robert G. Peterson of Sierra Madre, believes that coming out into the open will help dispel the idea that the disease is a shameful one. The twins, born in Los Angeles, are helping to boost the Los Angeles County Epilepsy Society's 1963 fund drive. Atterbury is planning a documentary film about the disease."
