Image of a head-and-shoulders portrait in profile of actor Cora Tanner wearing earrings; date sheet for a May 30, [1887], performance of the play at the Park Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, pasted below image; the poster advertises the comedy "Fascination" (also titled "The Way We Live") written by Robert Buchanan.
Probable date based on information in date sheet and general show history as referenced in Odell, Annals of the New York Stage: "Colonel Sinn's Park Theatre began the new season on August 23, 1886 ... For the week of May 30th-June 4th Cora Tanner tried Fascination ..." (Odell, Annals of the New York Stage, Vol. XIII, page 358), "H.A. Thomas and Wylie. Art Lithographers, 7 E 19th St. N.Y."--text, lower right. "H.A. Thomas"--text, artist.'s signature in stone, lower right. "Col. Sinn's / Park Theatre / Robert Buchanan's New Play, / Fascination. / May / 30"--text, date sheet at bottom.
