Photograph caption dated July 10, 1961 reads "Two Valley teenagers were chosen Mr. and Mrs. Swingers of 1961 at a dance contest sponsored by the Valley Youth Foundation, Van Nuys, Saturday night. Lou Laurie, 16, of United Artists Records, crowns the smiling winners, who are, from left, Donna McGlone, 18, 6727 Darby St., Reseda, and Norman LeMire, 18, 8801 Tobias Ave., Panorama City. The dance contest began in January and semi-finalists were chosen to compete in finals every other week. Ten couples competed in Saturday's contest."
