Photograph caption dated January 19, 1961 reads "Proudly displaying his new gavel, Earle C. Blais, center, was installed as 1961 president of the Burbank Chamber of Commerce at Glendale's Oakmont Country Club. Both Charles Ecclestone Jr., left, retiring chamber head, and TV-star Tom Frandsen, who was master of ceremonies, praised Blais for past civic work and assured gathering of about 500 this work would continue. State Assemblyman Tom Bane prepared House resolutions that were unanimously approved last week honoring the two officers."
