Description
Photograph of well-dressed families strolling through Oakland's Idora Park, ca.1900. Small groups of women and children are waling along a wide sidewalk at right. The women are wearing long dresses and flower-covered hats, and the young girls have fancy, light-colored dresses. Several people are holding parasols and baskets. A three-story building is at the edge of the image at left, and two young boys are rounding the corner in the foreground. A line of willow trees runs parallel to the front of the building at left, and small covered booths are set up beneath the large branches.
