Description
Construction of the new U.C.L.A. Westwood campus in 1927-1929. View 5: two unidentified men wearing suits, are shown walking past the construction of the Powell Library building on the left. The library, known as the Lawrence Clark Powell Library was built 1927-29 and designed by architect George W. Kelham. On the right is the construction of Royce Hall. This building was built 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. Both buildings were constructed in a northern Italian Romanesque Revival style.
