Judge Coakley was an Associate Appeals Justice of the California Appeals Court, Deputy Attorney General of California, Judge of the Superior Court of Mariposa County and well known big band leader of the 1930's. This film is part of a series that documents Coakley's run for Attorney General against Stanley Mosk in 1962, which he lost.
