Description
Photograph of the premier of "The Gaucho" at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, November 4, 1927. Automobiles are stopped on the street at center to drop people at the extravagant premier presented by the theatre behind them. People in fine clothes and hats crowd either side of the street straining to see the event. Streams of light extend in all directions from the spotlights in front of the theatre. A covered walkway leads to the entrance from the busy street. The theatre has an oriental roof and large palm trees at its entrance. The outer walls are decorated with banners reading "Douglas Fairbanks" and "Chinese".
