Description
A fifth-generation American, John Yee has been a Monterey Park resident since 1971. John Yee is an active member of the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California and his family was featured in the documentary film, The Yee Family. He describes his life growing up in Midland, Pennsylvania, his arrival to California in 1939, his work as a merchant seaman, his time in Monterey Park, and his activities with the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California.
