Photograph caption date stamped November 14, 1956 reads, "Burbank High's ace halfback Bill Wendorf hopes to pass as well as run against John Burroughs Friday night in the classic grid tussle that will settle the Foothill League championship. Both teams enter the game with perfect league records of four wins and no losses. Wendorf and his mates are one-touchdown favorites."
